History

The woodland here is very recent. Apart from a strip sown from seed in 1985 (known as the 'shelter belt'), all the trees you will see have been planted since 2000.

Habitats

You will notice a wide variety of trees that occur naturally in woodlands, providing food and habitats for different animals.Large open meadows provide habitats for reptiles and skylarks.

Get involved

The habitats at the woodland need looking after and that's where you come in! Our regular task days are on the first Saturday of each month, meeting at the Singleton Hill car park at 10am.
